Heather Coulombe
Heather has more than 16 years of experience as an internal communicator. During that time, she has focused her efforts on strategic benefits communication campaigns, worksite wellness promotion and community relations efforts for a wide variety of clients like Lehigh Hanson, Universal American Corporation, Regis Salons and Willis Towers Watson.
Prior to entering the world of internal communications, Heather served as Communications Director for the Girl Scouts of Middle Georgia, Inc., where she created a strategic marketing plan to complete a $4.5 million capital campaign. During her tenure in non-profit, she learned the importance of creative message delivery and understands the importance of finding an effective solution, regardless the size of the budget. A graduate of Appalachian State University, Heather volunteers her time to mentor fellow Mountaineers in the Communications Department.
In her spare time, Heather can usually be found running. Whether it’s a 5k or marathon, she’s ready to take on the miles. A social media addict, she can be found Facebooking, Instagramming, Tweeting, Snapchatting and Pinning throughout the day - usually about her dog. She is happily married and has two elderly cats (20 and 18 years old) in addition to her two-year-old, frisbee-obsessed whippet, Remy.
Favorites: Traveling somewhere new with her husband, especially to see the New England Patriots or Red Sox play, being greeted by her dog no matter how long she's been gone - one minute or one week, Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee and maple bacon donuts, Vera Bradley bags, traveling with her girlfriends to run a race of any distance, Audiobooks and knitting for her brand new niece.
Prides Herself On: Her chocolate chip poundcake, running one marathon and eight half marathons, having seen every Oscar-nominated film for the past 10 years, and being crafty.
Currently Playing On Her iPod: Prince's Greatest Hits, by Prince (RIP); A Dotted Line, by Nickel Creek
Dream Job in Alternate Universe: Panda Cuddler or service dog trainer
